Coaching that happens every month
JamCoach runs a monthly one-on-one for every leader and team member. Each cycle starts on its own, the leader gives three feedback items tied to the company's core principles, and the team member acknowledges them and can respond. Goals, coaching alerts and reporting sit around that cycle.
One-on-ones on a fixed rhythm.
Each leader meets each team member on a fixed interval, usually monthly, and each new cycle starts on its calendar date.
- Cycles start on their own, on schedule
- Acknowledging a session never holds up the next one
Feedback anchored to your core principles.
Every feedback item is tied to one of the company’s core principles and marked as a strength or an opportunity.
- Three items per cycle, for example two strengths and one opportunity
- A supporting paragraph for each item
- Feedback goes one way, from leader to team member
Released when the leader is ready.
The leader releases the feedback before or during the meeting; then the team member can read it, acknowledge it, and respond.
- The team member must acknowledge the session
- If they disagree, they can respond to the session as a whole
- Optional: the team member prepares up to three topics before the meeting
Goals the team member owns.
Team members set their own professional and personal goals, which help the leader understand them and shape each monthly check-in.
- Professional and personal goals
- Shared with the leader
Coaching alerts, kept apart.
A coaching alert is a short performance improvement plan, shown in its own highlighted section and kept apart from regular feedback.
- Only the leader can start one
- Released and acknowledged like regular feedback
Reporting across the company.
Reporting is a core part of JamCoach; the reports themselves are being designed now.
